Members of our staff have been providing Physical Therapy and Athletic Training services to the hockey teams since professional hockey returned to Richmond in 1990. Virginia Sports Medicine and PT is again the “Official Physical Therapy providers for the Richmond Renegades” for the 2008-2009 season. “Go Gades!”

Dennis Spurrier has been the Athletic Training coverage coordinator for the Richmond Striker Soccer Club for the last ten years. VASM&PT, with help from Athletic Trainers from all over the state provide coverage for all of the Richmond Strikers tournaments.
 
Special Olympics of Virginia
Special Olympics Virginia
VASM&PT is proud to be involved with the Virginia Special Olympics. Our staff and numerous Physicians, Athletic Trainers, Physical Therapists, Nurses, EMT’s, and paramedics provide First Aid services all over the Richmond area for the summer games. Dennis Spurrier has been the Director of Medical Services for the winter and summer games since 1997.
 
University of Richmond

University of Richmond
Provide services to students within the Weinstein Recreation and Wellness facility. It is a state-of-the-art facility built adjacent to the Robins Center in 2006. Also perform screening and lectures to Wellness students.

 
Steward School
Steward School
Mark Hall, ATC, combines clinical rehab skills in our Cox Road clinic, and provides athletic training coverage at the school for athletes.
 
Douglas Freeman High School
Douglas Freeman High School
Dennis Spurrier has been providing athletic training services at Freeman since 1978.
 
Old Dominion University
Old Dominion University
Brandon Ream and Jane Cash are clinical instructors and adjunct faculty at ODU. They instruct interns in the Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) program as part of their clinical experience before graduation.
